The New Year can bring us a lot of different feelings. Some of us may have just experienced a life changing year, and we are looking forward to an even better one. Others may have just had the worst year and trudged through struggles throughout the year that made us look for a new beginning.
Whether you are one that has just had the best year of your life, or you are one that is super glad to see this year end, let me tell you something, God is with you. He was with you last year, He is with you this year, He is with you always.
You are never alone.
With the New Year, comes resolutions. if you’re like me, resolutions might really overwhelm you, or maybe you love them. One thing I am trying to do better this year is keeping God first. I’m trying to be intentional in my walk & make Him priority. Here’s a prayer that I am praying for you this year & I am hoping you have a great beginning to a brand new year! You are not alone, & you are so loved!
my prayer for you for 2018 -
Lord, thank you for making all things new & for this year. Thank you for all the things we have learned & for the trials you have put us through to make us stronger & more like you. Thank you for all you’ve allowed in our lives this past year, the good, & the bad, & the thing that have helped us realize how much we need you & rely on you every day.
I pray you would lead all of us throughout the year & you will guide our decisions & help us have soft hearts towards your relentless love & purpose for our lives. Lord I pray you would help us not to reopen doors that you have closed, & to help us know your righteous desires for our lives. Help us to release the grip on our lives & help us to hand over our lives to you, trusting that you do all things for our good. We have no idea what this year holds, but whatever it is holding, I pray you would give all of us strength & power to know that you will not give us anything we cannot handle. Lord please make it known to us that you are able & help us to trust your path throughout the year. Shine your light upon us this year. As Christians, we want to make a difference in the world for your glory, help us to stay on the right track and to be purposeful. Lord we want to reflect your holy name this year. I pray you would help us to feel your presence & to have the best year yet. Thank you for loving us and for giving us an opportunity to live for you. Amen.
